THE UNKINDEST CUT OF ALL........

The Unkindest Cut Of All ....................... Kehinde Bamigbetan, was my boss. An Alumni of The Great Obafemi Awolowo University. He was a notable Student Union leader. A veteran of battles (ie Ali Must Go), against the Military Junta. For the love of the Country,he dug trenches, was teargassed, picked up sticks and stones. He fought for the people's voice to be heard. For Nigeria, to be free and for Democracy to reign. Under Jackboots, his bones and spirit did not crunch. Now Mr. Bamigbetan, is the chairman of Ejigbo Local Government in Lagos State. A post he has held now, for almost six years. On Facebook,he painstakingly details the triumphalism of his tenure. But I have three questions for the Honorable Chairman. How many of his children, are in public schools, in Ejigbo? Would he subject his wife, to be treated in a public hospital, in Ejigbo? And finally, Mr. Chairman, if nature calls, can you use a public toilet, in Ejigbo? Friends, forget the millions of naira wasted, by using sand and sawdust to construct roads. Or the billions wasted, on building bridges to nowhere. Do not let the trillions wasted, on White Elephant projects fool you. You are a failure, as a PUBLIC SERVANT, if you cannot use the basic services, you provide for the GENERAL PUBLIC. Under Military oppression, we suffered. But we did not take it personal. We knew better. Zombie na Zombie. With names like Bakut, Diya, Dongoyaro, Bamaiyi, Dimka, Babangida, Orka, Tanko Ayuba, Abacaha, Fadile, men with little or no formal education, we knew Zombie na Zombie. We always knew Coup after Coup, that that one day; our day will come. That, Democracy will one day reign in Nigeria. A Government of the PEOPLE by the PEOPLE and for the PEOPLE. So, Senator Ojudu Babafemi's, PM NEWS, interview was revealing. Hear him: Nigeria, according to the Honorable,"is in the grip of evil elements........it will take 1001 Ojodus to bring any change."....... Good talk. Lets put our hands together for the great Senator. Such a smart man. He has told us something we never knew. Nigeria in the 'grips of evil elements'.......Four more years to him for that. The people of Ekiti State, are lucky to have such an intelligent son. Crown him Governor. Question? When Ojodu, was sent to the Nigerian Senate, what the HELL did he think the people sent him there to do? Sell GUGURU and EPA? THIS IS NIGERIA! A country where abnormal is normal. Where injustice is the law of the land. Femi Otedola, bribed Farouk Lawan, with $62,000 cash. 'Otedollar', is the hero and the case; ice cold. Who killed Bola Ige? What is the Honorable, telling us, that we do not already know? If according to the Senator, it will take '1001' of him, to effect a change in Nigeria? Let the ONE Senator, that the people of Ekiti Central, sent to the Senate; do the right thing: RESIGN!!!! Our present day political leaders, have continue to show themselves incapable of leading Nigeria, out of its economic, social and political calamity. It did not take 1001 Obafemi Awolowo, Akanu Ibiam, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Hubert Macaulay, Samuel Ladoke Akintola, Aminu Kano, to name but a few; to prove to the British, that Nigerians, were capable of being in charge of their own affairs. Those were MEN. Unlike what we have today. The caliber of leadership we have these days is watered down. Goons of political godfathers like Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. People who have never ran anything. We catapult them to positions they are not prepared for and are thus clueless what to do. Reminds me of the song, "any dummy can play guitar". In Nigeria, any dummy, can be Chairman of a Local Government, be a Senator or worse, be the President of the Federation. The catastrophe for Nigerians now is, expecting HOPE from these politicians is a gigantic mistake. Ojodu, said it. Please, do not quote me. The marauding predators, that we have now are just as inept as past military leaders. Agbada or Khaki. Zombie na Zombie. But unlike the military, the new oppressors have familiar names, like: Balogun, Ogunyinka, Lojede, Olojede, Olaleye, Ajasa, Bolaji, Bakare, Derby,Olaniyan, Sogbetun, Adenuga, Majekodunmi. They are our brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, former classmates and friends. People who know us,very well. Know the enormity of our problems, very well. Swore on the Bible/Qur'an and are very well remunerated, to help us. Only to turn around, and give us the '1001' excuse. That my dear friends,is the unkindest cut of all. Te rin ba je. Te rin o ba yo. Igbe lo ju mati. ........... Or so I think. WAKE UP PEOPLE! It is time to heed the timeless imperative of historic change, " if not now, when? IF NOT US,WHO?" WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! 12587Like · · Promote · Share
