HOUSE NUMBER 13 FEMI ROBINSON.....APC has pushed us to the wall: 2

Posted: Updated:

Fellow Lagosians, I never said I never liked Fashola. In fact, I rate him higher than most of the Governors I have met and dealt with. That is why I am not criticizing him because I know what he has had to go through. What I am saying is, I do not like his party and their principle of silencing other people’s opinions. Some one has to say it to save this nation. Like I have been saying in my write ups on Osun, I am 100% in support of Aregbesola but not his party. Yes a politician needs a platform in Nigeria to serve his people but he must be given a free hand to do so. If today Fashola were eligible for another leadership position I would still vote for him but not under APC. I wish to remind Governor Fashola that I told him publicly at his campaign in Lagos Country Club that I would vote for him as Governor of Lagos if he promises the people of Lagos state he will not be a puppet to be remotely controlled. Yes the listeners were shocked. I was labelled an enemy who should be silenced but being pushed to the wall I have to talk. My brother was made to forget the cry of the masses that he served judiciously during the first term in order to listen to the wishes of the masters who kept demanding for their share of the dividends of democracy. In order to keep to his promise and slogan “EKO ONIBAJE” and the response of the masses “OBA JE TI” my brother grew white hairs. You do not have to be told that he was carrying a lot of burden because he was becoming bald too soon. He had to start appealing to the people of Lagos to fulfil their civic duties of paying their taxes. These laudable efforts at generating revenue however boomeranged into multiple fraudulent harassment of the public by the agencies he created to make sure “EKO ONIBAJE”. These are the people who have pushed us to the wall, not Fashola. Unfortunately the bulk stops on his table. Like I will keep on saying until I answer the call, we need to sanitize and brand even our politics so that it will serve the needs of our people. In Yoruba Culture we do not praise leaders who fail the masses we ask them to self destroy. We do not have to be told that the loyalty of the cabinet of the APC government in some states is divided. Even the loyalty of local government chairmen and leaders of essential services in the state are divided. The APC government has pushed education out of the reach of the poor masses not because they can not to fulfill the promise of free education but because they will be creating competition at the top. There is still time for APC, PDP, LP, UPN and any other political party in Lagos State to sanitize themselves. Like I said there are good and honest hardworking men in these parties and you can not go on silencing people because they do not agree with you. A party should be an association of people who can decide what is right or wrong not zombies who have been programed not to think and just carry out what a leader says. Please note that these are my personal views which can be substantiated. I am thinking of it.’’THE EVIL MEN DO”.
