COMING SOON TO JAIYEOLA STREET....................................................... LETTER TO Theophilus Odeniyi.......PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN'S GAMBIT. STOP PRESS!!!! Apocalypse now! Somewhere in Abuja. As you read this, there is a party going on. A night club is in full swing. The markets are buzzing with activities. Business transactions are going on as usual. Buying and selling of goods and human conscience. A Nigerian Senator is pledging his allegiance to the country in between the thighs of an underage girl. Life is quickly getting back to normal. The talk of the town is not the Nyanya Park bomblast, which left scores of people dead. Terrible as it WAS;the talk of the town is the English Premier league. The President has cried. He is probably drunk now. THIS IS NIGERIA. Life must go on. The music must not stop. The show must continue. A country where a moment of silence for the dead is an expensive habit. Time is money. No point in wasting it on the dearly departed. April 15, 2013 was the 117th edition of the Boston mass-participation marathon in Boston, Massachusetts USA. The race was disrupted by two consecutive explosions on the side walk near the finish line. The two pressure cooker bombs killed THREE spectators and injured 264 others. Immediately, the FBI shut down Boston. Less than 24 hours after, the type of bomb used had been identified. April 18, surveillance videos of the two suspects and their photographs were released to the public. An unprecedented manhunt ensued. Thousands of law enforcement officers searched the 20-block area of Watertown. The public transportation system was shut down. Businesses and public institutions were shut down. Until the suspects were killed and apprehended. Until normal could be normal again. Until sense was made out of madness. Until evil ended....at least for now. Back to the Nyanya Park bombing in Abuja Nigeria. Apart from crying, to what extent is the President willing to go, to make us safe in our country again? Apart from making noise and making very little sense, do we really care as a people that our fellow county men are being killed like dogs. Almost daily. Oh yes, we cried. Especially, when we saw those gory pictures of human parts littering the streets. Oh yes we cried. Then used a bottle of beer to wash down the tears. One for the road to conquer the 'go slow' traffic. Why waste liquor? One life to live. Good will always triumph over evil (sic). Do we really care? After all, it is the way God wants it. It is their time. ......... We screamed years ago on JAIYEOLA STREET "that the bomb blast in Sokoto, will go off in our sokoto (trouser) someday ." The sad part is; that day as not come. But it is near. Our idles of March is near...The Nyanya Park bomb pogrom was well planned. The work of sophisticated experience bombers... God help NIGERIA. Give us a sense of pragmatism that will give us some ideology. Help us oh God. HELP US....... May the souls of those that died rest in peace. Almighty God grant their love ones the courage to bare this terrible loss. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh [2] and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6 10:13 — with Oluwabamiwo Ajasa and 19 others.
